CSI project reflection-JunDe

Finally the csi project is ending I was so happy and from this project I had learnt a lot of thing. During this project I had a lot of fight with Celine as at PE I had accidentally hit her hand than she injured her index finger. I told her that I was sorry but she does not know why she still was angry with me. I did not want this to happen too.

When we were doing the podcast there were so many problems which that cause us to do it again and again no stop. We were doing the podcast near the canteen, it used to be very quiet but then the assembly ended than a lot of people came down from the hall than it became very nosily. Than some of our classmate came and make a little noise but it most of the time when we redo the podcast because we kept laughing.

i hoped to have more of this kind of project but the problem with this project is that there will not have so much teamwork as we can not work with the people we want to work with.

CSI project reflection-Guo Jie

I felt quite glad as our group has completed our CSI project. Through quarrels, argument, hardship and laughter,we still completed our project. At first ,we were arguing and quarreling because we do not agree with one another as the five of us had different opinions. Especially Jun De and Celine, they just cannot cooperate with each other. so sometimes , i had to stopped them and tell them both of them must cooperate. Finally we agree with each other and we chose one of the component and hand it up to my teacher. And the both of them already tried no to quarrel again.

In the podcast,we just did it recently as we had not come up with the script yet.At first when we start to record , the venue was very quiet but after a while , the noise level stared to increase as the assembly has ended and students are all talking loudly and they are very noisy . some of the students still from our class(but will not mention names)still try to disturb us and let us laugh when we were recording .we re-record the thing for about three to four times due to errors in talking and laughter.

I also think that the blog is okay but just the background is too plain . After the whole project,i think that teamwork is the most important as if we give everyone a task to do and we will do it efficiently and submit the work on time. we cannot rely on just one people to do the task as it is not fair.Teamwork also teaches me to learn about people`s advice .As a leader myself , i think I did not really do a good job as i did not do everything but i had already tried my best to do it .If there is another project , i will do it with my team.

CSI Project Reflection - Celine

From this process, i learnt to create good script, using emotions show my feelings. And to conclude out using evidence to prove. Skills like using time and effort to complete this task. I learnt how to post the podcast to the blog be putting it up on imeem first then place it in.

It was quite fun working with Stella, Rachel, Guo Jie and Jun De. We encountered many problems like some of us did not have time to meet up and discuss the details. Some of them went overseas and had CCAs. Doing the podcast, we recorded it but some students made funny noises disturbing us. We also had to record many times ask we sometimes just cant stop laughing. At last we managed to get rid of those students and did it peacefully. Regarding the podcast, we tried to make each other from laughing. I think we need to take out more spare time to meet up with each other if there are anymore projects, emotions are needed to be improve more as i did not really did well in the emotions part.
I liked the part which we did the podcast as it was quite hilarious. I hope next time if we have project like this, i hope we will meet up all together to do it and not using phone or MSN.

I truly enjoy this project. If there is another chance doing this progect again, i promise that i will do a better job then this time.

CSI Project Reflection- Rachel

I have learnt that following the teacher’s instructions closely is a tremendously crucial part of the project. It is a listening skill and if I had misheard or misunderstood a single instruction, everything I did after would go entirely wrong.

Since our group consisted of five very different people, we needed to split up the responsibilities wisely according to the person’s aptitude. As English came naturally to me, I became the editor and edited the errors found in my group members’ work.

When I entered the crime scene and was told to search for hair samples, I realized it took great concentration and that I could not overlook even the tiniest detail; such as a mattress cover or a piece of paper. It also took great skill to pick up the hairs without dropping it on the ground and losing it forever.

The laboratory work was another colossal headache. I could hardly tell the difference between one strand of hair to the other. My team members all needed the microscope and in the end, we could not do a very thorough job as everyone was fighting for the use of the instrument.

After the pod-casting, I became more conscious about how tough it was to portray emotions into a character’s voice. It was similar to being an actor, just that in this case; my voice was the one that had to ‘act’.

Working in a group has proved difficult for me as there are times when my team members refused to cooperate. Sometimes, getting us together so that we could discuss properly was a great issue and was almost impossible to achieve as everyone was busy with their own work. Thankfully, the urgency of the project prompted everyone to at least help out with everything and to give their opinions and suggestions. One example was when we all went online to discuss about the script; what questions to ask and how should we phrase it.

At times, I did not want to participate as I needed to resolve my own personal problems and occasionally ignored the work given to me. I would normally do my part when the deadline got nearer and when my team mates’ imperativeness mounted. As a team member, I should have been more cooperative and strived for more elaboration in our work.

This was a very tiring and tedious project that needed loads of teamwork and fortitude. Still, I enjoyed myself as I got to try hands-on on how investigations and interrogations were carried out. I would seek for more emphasis in the teamwork the next time we have another project like this.

C.S.I Project Reflection - Stella

After doing this project I felt relieve as we finally finished after much discussion. Doing the project we met quite a lot of problems and one of it was the project happened to be during the holidays so we could not meet as some of them were busy at that time or date, or were going overseas with their family. Celine and me went to Rachel's house to do and think of the interrogation script as Guo Jie and Jun De could not so we had to use MSN or phone to contact them and discuss.
We went through and put in a lot of effort just to complete the recount and scripts for the podcast. The first problem for the Interrogation script was that it was too short so we had to think all over again and once we had finished the scripts we had to record it down in school which was very noisy and quite a lot of students came to disturb us so we had to do it again and again which let us feel a little frustrated. We wanted to do it in the library but afraid of being scolded. Another problem was that we all have CCAs so we did not have a lot of time to do it so for me I think it was quite good to have this kind of results within the time that we have although Miss Liow has given us about 2 months to complete.
I feel very contented and glad to have Rachel, Celine, Guo Jie and Jun De as they were quite hardworking as when they were doing the project they were quite serious but I was the one who started to laugh when doing the podcast as the script was quite funny in the end.
I enjoyed doing this project very much as it needs a lot of team work to finish it and we must co-opreate very well to do well in this project, I hope we will do better for another project and score well.
